Downtown Hastings now has a familiar face. Windstream reopened the retail location on Saint Joseph Avenue in June. After servicing people in Nebraska for more than 100 years, Windstream decided it is time to reopen the retail store.
“Windstream is committed to putting our customers first and serving the communities where we live and work,” said Brad Hedrick, president of operations for Windstream in Nebraska. “We’re excited to reopen the retail store in Hastings so that we can provide our customers with in-person support.”
To celebrate the reopening, the Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony, and Windstream presented the Teammates Mentoring Program with a $1,000 donation. The Teammates Mentoring Program is a nonprofit organization that provides the support and encouragement youth need to graduate from high school and pursue post-secondary education.
Newly crowned Miss Nebraska, Jessica Shultis joined the celebration. She was available for pictures and autographs.
With the hard work and dedication of nearly 250 Nebraska team members and an investment of nearly $1.7 million in network upgrades in Hastings this year alone, Windstream has been working tirelessly to ensure that the Hastings community can experience broadband speeds up to One Gig.
Kinetic Gig features identical speeds for both uploads and downloads with your Windstream Internet service. Our gig network uses fiber-optic lines which run directly to a home, giving you a faster and more reliable connection. Enter your address here to see if you qualify for One-Gig speeds.
