Windstream gives back after Hurricane Florence makes landfall

“From cases of water to macaroni and cheese, the last thing those impacted need to think about is when they will go to the grocery store or where their next meal is going to come from,” said Stacy Hale, Windstream area president. “At Windstream, we saw a need and wanted to make sure we could provide support for the community.”

Early estimates sit at about $17 billion to $22 billion in lost economic output and property damage. To put that into perspective: Hurricane Katrina cost $125 billion in damages, and Hurricane Irma cost $50 billion in damages.
“At Windstream, we’re dedicated to taking care of the communities where we live and serve,” said Hale. “We remain committed to Wadesboro and all of the other communities impacted by Hurricane Florence.”
