Col. Harland Sanders, founder of Kentucky Fried Chicken, is one of the most highly recognized figures in the world. Laurel County, Kentucky — located in the heart of the beautiful Daniel Boone National Forest — is proud to be the home of the Colonel’s original restaurant established in the 1940’s. The Annual World Chicken Festival is a tribute to this heritage and the Colonel’s delicious contribution to tastebuds across America.
We tasted fried chicken from the world’s largest stainless steel skillet, enjoyed fun rides, watched the grand parade and learned so much more about the communities we serve in London.
Windstream is dedicated to investing in the communities in which we live and serve, and events like these only deepen our dedication and commitment to areas like London. To see where we are headed next, be sure to check out our October event calendar.
