Crete Public Library hosts ground breaking ceremony, celebrates $50,000 donation from Windstream
CRETE, Neb. – Today members of the community and dignitaries held a ground-breaking ceremony at the site for the future home of the new Crete Library. Windstream (NASDAQ:WIN), a leading provider of advanced network communications, announced a $50,000 donation to the Friends of the Crete Public Library to establish the Crete Public Library Windstream Technology Center.
“More and more, libraries are embracing technology and helping patrons with their
technology needs,” said Mayor Foster. “The Windstream Technology Center in Crete’s new library will be at the forefront of providing technological assistance for the Crete Community. We are grateful for the support Windstream has shown in this endeavor and to the whole Crete community as well.”
Brad Hedrick, Windstream area president, presented the library with a check for the Windstream Technology Center to Mayor Foster. The new technology center will be equipped with the latest technology and high-speed Internet.
