Windstream celebrates grand reopening of Live Oak retail store, donates $1,000 to Vivid Visions

Communications, announced today the grand reopening of its Kinetic retail store and Kinetic Business Center at 206 White Ave. SE in Live Oak. Kinetic also made a donation to a human development center to highlight Windstream’s stake in Live Oak.

“The redesign of the Live Oak retail store stands as a symbol that we’re here to stay with next-generation Kinetic Internet speeds and products,” said Stacy Hale, president of operations for Windstream in Florida. “By delivering a refreshed store with more interactivity while making a donation to a local charity that means so much to our community, we hope to demonstrate to the citizens of Live Oak our investments toward the future of consumer and business broadband.”

 The redesigned Kinetic by Windstream store features a contemporary new look and interactive nooks displaying community information, entertainment, and broadband solutions.

 At today’s celebration, the Live Oak Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting; Windstream presented Vivid Visions with a check for $1,000, and retail store staff, small business representatives and local leaders gave away prizes.

“Vivid Visions is the state-certified domestic violence shelter and outreach center for Suwannee County,” said Kathy White, director of Vivid Visions. “This past year, we have provided 4,582 nights of shelter and have provided services to over 127 women, children, and men.  The donation we received from Kinetic (Windstream) will be used to assist us in reaching our goal of purchasing a new vehicle for our shelter.”

The reopening of the retail store at 206 White Ave. SE marks Windstream’s renewed Kinetic commitment to Live Oak, and the company’s donation celebrates the partnerships that make communities interconnected.
