Windstream names Tommy Ford local operations manager

Former Marine specialist to lead expanding operations in South Georgia
BLAKELY, Ga. — Windstream, a leading provider of advanced network communications and technology solutions, today announced that it has named former U.S. Marine specialist and Department of Defense contractor, Tommy Jones, to manage its local operations in the city. He will responsible for Blakely, Dawson and Donalsonville territories.
Jones will supervise the ongoing residential and commercial expansion of high-speed Kinetic Internet to new residences and commercial addresses in south Georgia, carrying 100 megabits per second (Mbps) and gigabit per second (Gbps) speeds to homes and businesses.
“In 2019 Windstream expanded next-generation Kinetic Internet throughout Georgia. We’ll continue next year, earning new customers along the way, and the key to continuing a healthy growth pattern is managers with a demonstrated track record of success,” said J. Berkshire, president of Windstream operations in Georgia. “Tommy is a great leader, and we look forward to using his skill set to serve our customers.”

Jones is one of more than 1,150 employees in the state. A Cairo High School alumnus, he and his wife Crystal are raising a son.
