Windstream to support Dancing with the Stars for Hope event

Dancing with the Stars for Hope will air on Kinetic TV Channel 4 on March 20 and March 22 at 9 p.m., and March 21 at 12:30 p.m. This will be the first time the event is aired locally.

“We are delighted to have the ability to provide video production and local playback services for Dancing with the Stars for Hope,” said J Berkshire, Georgia area president of operations at Windstream. “By making it possible for viewers to watch at home, we are able to spread awareness about Circle of Hope’s mission, and establish a stronger connection between residents and the nonprofit.”

Dancing with the Stars for Hope highlights 10 teams of volunteer dancers from Habersham and surrounding counties to compete for various awards including Judges’ Choice, People's Choice and Most Entertaining. The event format is inspired by a widely-acclaimed television show where couples perform routines and are provided colorful comments from judges. Funds are raised through voting, ticket sales, and various levels of sponsorships. Each $1 raised will equate to a single vote for the team chosen.
