To set up your wireless connection on your Kindle Fire, follow the steps below:
- Tap the Quick Settings icon.
- Tap the Wi-Fi symbol and make sure wireless is turned on. You may be prompted to turn on Wi-Fi by typing in the password you created for your Kindle Fire.
- You'll see a list of detected Wi-Fi networks. You may have to wait a moment as your Kindle detects networks in range. Tap the name of the network you wish to join. NOTE: For Windstream equipment, the wireless network name is located on the back of the router next to SSID. Some keys/passwords are case-sensitive, make sure you use uppercase and lowercase letters appropriately.
- If necessary, enter the Wi-Fi network password. The password is the one used to set up the Wi-Fi network, not your Amazon account password. For Windstream modems, this password is also located on the back of the router, next to Network/Security Key.
