Static IP Setup

Access modem interface locally:

Logging into the modem interface locally

• Open a browser and type http://192.168.1.1 into the address bar.

• The interface will prompt the customer for a Username and Password

• The customer can enter "admin" for the username

• The customer can enter the Administrator Password which is located on the sticker on the bottom of the modem. This password is different on every single VMG4927.

Select NETWORK SETTING and then BROADBAND

Now we need to select the correct connection to edit. This will depend on what connection type (ADSL or VDSL) and encapsulation (IPoE or PPPoE) is being used.

Once you have found the WAN Interface you want to edit, click the Edit

In the Edit WAN Interface screen, find the IP Address section. Set the radio button to Static IP Address, the enter the static IP that will be used.

Click Apply at the bottom of the screen.
