How to manage and test your Kinetic Secure Home devices?
Device Page
The main device page displays all your Kinetic Secure Home devices and integrations. Manage your devices through the Kinetic Secure Home mobile app or through the online dashboard.
Android/iOS Mobile App:
From your Kinetic Secure Home app, click on the device icon to the left of the key icon.
Your paired devices will appear.
Tap on a device to manage.
Kinetic Secure Home Web Dashboard:
On the online dashboard, your paired devices appear in the All Devices section under your alarm modes. Click on a device to manage.
On the main device page, you can:
View all paired devices and integrations
Add additional devices and integrations by selecting +add device
Check the temperature of a sensor's location in the top left corner of a device
Filter and organize devices by groups.
Adding Groups
Organizing sensors into groups is helpful if you have several sensors. You can organize your sensors by room, floor of your home, or by sensor type. It's up to you!
To add a new group of sensors:
Tap Filter
Select the sensors to be included in your group
Tap inside the gray bar to name your group
Tap Done in the top left
To edit a group:
Long press the name of the group
Tap sensors to add/remove them, or tap within the gray bar to rename your group
Tap Done in the top left
To remove a group:
Long press the name of a group
Tap the trash icon in the top right
Select REMOVE
Kinetic Hub
The Kinetic Hub is the brain of Kinetic Secure Home, managing communication between all your sensors.
To rename your Kinetic location:
Tap/click the key icon in the bottom right of the app.
Click on the “Location Name” at the top of the page.
You can then rename your location.
Tap save once done.
The hub's device page displays the following information:
Kinetic Secure Home location name
Online/offline status
Power source (outlet or backup battery)
Firmware version
Serial number
MAC address
Connection type (cellular or ethernet)
IP address
Port
Cellular Carrier (AT&T or T-Mobile)
Cellular signal strength
To turn off arming chirps:
To turn off arming chirps (the chirps you hear while arming your system):
Move the toggle to the left (white).
To test your Hub’s chirp and siren:
To test the Kinetic Hub’s speaker, tap the commands within the Chirp Test and Siren Test sections.
In the Chirp Test section:
To send 1 test chirp, select +1.
To send 10 countdown chirps, select 10s.
To stop the test chirps, select the off button.
In the Siren Test section:
To activate the siren, move the toggle to the right (blue)
To stop the siren, move the toggle to the left (white)
Motion Sensor
Motion Sensors detect motion anywhere in your home.
To change the name of the device:
Tap inside the gray box underneath the image of the sensor to rename the device. Tap done in the top left when finished.
To test live Motion Sensor reporting:
Move out of sight of the sensor and then walk in front of it. When the Motion Sensor detects movement, the text will highlight blue and read Motion. If no motion is detected, the text will remain gray and read No Motion.
Please allow up to 30 seconds for the sensor to report its updated status.
To unpair the Motion Sensor:
Tap the trash icon in the top right. Select ok remove.
Entry Sensor
Kinetic Entry Sensors monitor anything that opens or closes, such as windows, doors, and cabinets.
To change the name of the device:
Tap inside the gray box underneath the image of the sensor to rename the device.
Tap done in the top left when finished.
To adjust the chirp settings:
'Chirp' hub when sensor opens
To deactivate the chirp from the hub, toggle this option to the left (unhighlighted).
To reactivate the chirp from the hub, toggle this option to the right (highlighted blue).
To test live reporting of the Open/Close Sensor’s open/close status:
While you are on the Entry Sensor Device page, open and close the Sensor. When opened, the reading will highlight blue and read Open. When closed, the text will highlight gray and read Closed.
HD Indoor/Outdoor Camera
The Camera device page allows you to edit your Camera’s settings and view your live stream.
To view your Live Stream, Click the "view stream" button at the top of the screen.
To enable/disable Privacy Adjust the toggle to set your camera to not stream, record, or send alerts. Move to the right (blue) to enable, and to the left (white) to disable.
To customize your Recording and Alerts Choose when you want your camera to record, and when you’re alerted. You can enable recording and alerts to send when your modes are armed.
For your privacy, recording is not enabled when your system is disarmed.
To adjust your Audio Sensitivity, Move the toggle between quiet and loud. For notifications from faint noises, move it to the left; for notifications from loud noises, move it to the right.
To change your Settings
Status Light On: Keep the light on top of the camera on, or turn it off
Night Vision: Enable the Camera to switch to infrared recording automatically, or turn it on and off manually
Rotate Image: Flip the Camera’s image 180 degrees based on its installation orientation
Update Wi-Fi: Adjust this setting whenever your network settings change
Change Name: Edit the name of your Kinetic Camera
