How do I connect my wireless router for Kinetic internet?
For any router, you first want to make sure that it’s connected to power with the supplied power cord.
DSL Internet
Insert the included DSL filter into a phone jack in your wall.
Then connect a phone line from the filter to the back of your router and another line from the filter to your phone. A third line can run from your computer to the router.
Finally, plug the power cord from your router to an outlet.
Now your router is set to bring you Kinetic Service.
NOTE: If you are connected properly and still unable to access the Internet, try another phone jack.
Fiber Internet
Indoor ONT
Ensure the ONT is also connected to power with the supplied power cord.
The fiber line coming from your house will connect to a port designated for the fiber line.
On the ONT, locate the LAN port and connect an ethernet cable to it.
Take that same ethernet cable and attach it to the WAN port on your modem.
Outdoor ONT
Connect the ethernet cord to the wall jack where the ONT connects to.
Connect the same ethernet cord to the WAN port on the modem.
Cable
Screw the coax cable in as tight as possible with your fingers at the wall jack and the modem.
If you received a second box from Kinetic, this second box will be your router.- Make sure the router is also connected to power with the supplied power cord.
The included ethernet cord will plug into a LAN port on both the modem and the router.
Fixed Wireless
Connect the PoE Power Injector to power with the supplied cord.
The cord from your wall will connect to the Power Injector in the PoE Port.
An ethernet cord will connect in the LAN port on the Power Injector and the WAN port on the modem.
