Understanding your Sagem 4320’s lights.
Your DSL modem has several lights which can be used to see current statuses, and diagnose installation and connection problems.
-Green: Power is on
-Off: Power is off. Check connecting cables, and try another outlet.
-Red: A Problem. Try another outlet, power cycle, and hard reset modem. Seek replacement if still red.
Internet (@ symbol)
-Green: Connected to the Internet
-Blinking green: Traffic going out or coming in.
-Off: No Internet. Possibly needs configured or is in bridge mode.
-Red: Failing Authentication. The username and password combination in the modem is not correct. Sometimes a hard reset will correct.
-Green: Trained Up. The link between modem and Windstream is established.
-Blinking green: Establishing connection between modem and Windstream.
-Off: No connection seen between modem and Windstream.
-Green: Bonded. Both pairs have trained up.
-Blinking green: Establishing bonded connection between modem and Windstream.
-Off: Bonding not configured or no connection seen between modem and Windstream.
Wireless(Antenna with waves around it)
-Green: Wireless device connected.
-Green blinking: Wireless traffic going out or coming in.
-Off: No Wireless device connected.
-Off: Normal state
-Green blinking: WPS Mode Avtive
-Red: Solid or flashing red WPS light means there was a problem connecting via WPS. Reboot the modem and try WPS again.
-Green: Ethernet port in use.
-Blinking green: Traffic passing.
-Off: Ethernet port not in use.
Grey: Phone line
Yellow: Ethernet ports
Red: WAN port for fiber optic connections.
Power: Power cord, only use provided power cord with this modem. If replacing a modem, never use the prior modem's cord.

How to get into the Interface:
Open your browser to: http://192.168.254.254
Change your wireless network’s name. (SSID)
1. From the Interface click Wireless on the left side, then replace whatever is in the SSID with your preferred network name.
Change the wireless password or security type.
1. From the Interface click Wireless on the left side, then click Security.
2. The Network Authentication dropdown lets you specify the security type.
3. The WPA Pre-Shared Key is where you can specify the new password.
1. From the Interface click Wireless on the left side, then uncheck Enable Wireless, and click Apply/Save. Anything connected wirelessly will lose connection at this point. Check it again and click Apply/Save to toggle wireless back on.
In computer networking, port forwarding redirects a communication request from one address and port number combination to another.
With port forwarding, it is important that you know the IP address of your device you are forwarding ports to. To see what is currently connected to your 4320N modem, click on Device Info, and then ARP to view connected devices and their IP addresses.
Forwarding ports on the 4320N
1. Click Advanced Setup on the left to branch it out and then click UPnP.
2. Uncheck the Enable or disable UPnP protocol box, then click Apply/Save button.
3. Next, while still under Advanced Setup, click NAT.
4. Click the Add button.
5. Click Custom Service and type the name you want to use like "dervex camera"
6. In the Server IP Address specify the IP address of your device you are forwarding to.
7. In the Protocol box you can specify UDP, TCP, or both.
8. Specify the External Port Start, External Port End, and Internal Port Start. The Internal Port End field will change automatically.
9. Click the Apply/Save button.
A factory reset will take the modem back to factory settings. That clears all settings like personalized wireless names, passwords, and port forwarding, etc. Depending on the state of the modem, sometimes a hard reset will restore services.
1. To reset, first find the reset pinhole at the back of the modem between the Power and Ethernet ports.
2. Take a small pointy object (a toothpick or a safety pin is best) and press it into the hole and hold for a minimum of 3 seconds until the lights on the modem flash.
3. Once the lights have stabilized check services again.
