How does the Seasonal Plan work?

You may place your Windstream Internet and bundled voice services on hold for 1 month up to 9 months for a reduced rate of $7.  You will maintain 1Mb (1Mb/768K) Internet service to keep your security systems or cameras active while you’re away.  When you return, there will be no reconnect fees or service calls required.  One quick call to Windstream will have your services turned back on.  

 

Is the Kinetic Internet Seasonal Plan available to all Windstream customers?

The Kinetic Internet Seasonal plan is available to existing Internet customers on qualifying plans, in good standing. The Seasonal plan may not be available for all services.  Please call 1-800-347-1991 and our Windstream representatives will be happy to assist you.

 

 

What are the requirements for the Kinetic Internet Seasonal Plan?

You must be on a qualified Internet plan and you are required to keep your account current while on the Seasonal plan.  Payments can be made by phone, online or through MyWIN – our customer portal app.  It’s super simple to set up Auto-Pay so you can enjoy your time away.  If you miss a payment or fail to keep your Windstream account current while on the Seasonal plan, you’ll be subject to normal disconnect policies.

 

 

Are all my services included on the Seasonal Plan?

Qualified Internet plans and bundled voice are included as well as a modem lease, if applicable.

You will still be required to pay for the following services not included on the Seasonal Plan include:

  • Value Add services
  • Cable TV
  • DISH
  • DIRECTV
  • Kinetic TV

 

 

I’m currently paying a promotional discounted rate for service. Will that rate continue when I return?

Your promotional rate will continue as long as it does not expire during the time you are on the Seasonal plan. The expiration date of your promotion remains the same and will not be extended while you are on the Kinetic Internet Seasonal Plan.

 

 

How long can I place my account on the Seasonal Plan?

You may place your account on the Internet Seasonal plan for 1 month up to 9 months.  After 9 months on the Seasonal plan, you must be active for 30 days (1 bill cycle) and then you are eligible for the Seasonal plan again.

 

 

Will my Windstream.net email address still work while on the Kinetic Internet Seasonal Plan?

Yes, your Windstream.net email address will still be active so you can stay connected with friends and family.

 

 

Can I access my smart home devices while I’m away?

Yes, you will have 1Mb Internet service at your home so you can stay connected and control devices like a smart thermostat or security cameras.  Windstream recommends you set camera resolutions to SD for best remote connectivity while you’re away.

 

 

How do I enroll in the Kinetic Internet Seasonal Plan?

It’s simple.  Call 1-800-347-1991 and our Windstream representatives will be happy to assist you.  They are open Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. (ET) or Saturday 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. (ET)

 

 

How do I turn my services back on when I return?

One quick call to Windstream at 1-800-347-1991 will have your services turned back on.  Your previous services and rates will be restored to your account and extend through the original end date.  Your service will be restored as follows:

  • Requested before 2pm EST, service restored same day
  • Requested after 2pm EST, service restored the following day
  • If you upgrade or change your services, the normal Windstream due date process will apply.
