How do I download Windstream Security Suite?
First, you'll need to log in to your Windstream account. Go to www.windstream.net and click the "My Account" link in the top right corner of the page.
At the login page, enter your Username and Password and click "Log In". Once you are in the Account Manager, click the "Download Windstream Security Suite powered by McAfee" link.
At this point, you'll be taken straight to the McAfee account that is linked to your Windstream account. click the "Download/Install" button.
Note: If you get an error or if you don't see the screen displayed at right after clicking "Download/Install", go to McAfee's Support FAQ and walk through instructions on how to get your PC ready for downloading.
- Enter http://service.mcafee.com/ in your browser's address bar.
- Click "FAQs and Search"
- Click "Proceed to Search"
- Click "What should I know or do before installing McAfee products?"
If you are still experiencing problems, please contact the Windstream Help Desk at 1-888-292-3827.
Read and review the End License Agreement, and click the "Download" button once you've agreed.
Click "Run" in the dialog window that appears, and then select the type of installation: Complete (recommended) or Custom.
At this point, the installation will begin. The screen will progress through the steps automatically until finished.
